Editorial Page Writer/Designer
The Nashua Telegraph seeks a writer/designer to assist in the daily production of its editorial pages. This position manages the content for eight editorial pages a week to include syndicated columns and cartoons, letters to the editor, staff-produced editorials, guest columns as well as other features. The editorial page writer/designer sits on The Telegraph’s editorial board and is responsible for writing four days of editorials a week. The successful candidate must have strong writing and editing skills as well as being experienced in Adobe InDesign and InCopy. Experience with social media and a working knowledge of New Hampshire issues and politics are a strong plus. Night/Metro Editor - The Salem News
Full-time. Night shift. Duties include managing reporters and photographers, assigning and editing stories, and working on content and pages for Features, News, Sports and Opinion pages as needed. Ability to assign and edit breaking news a must. Must have strong knowledge of AP style and word usage and be willing and able to ask questions about content editing and inconsistencies in stories. Experience with Adobe InCopy and InDesign (CS3 preferred) a plus, as is a strong understanding of social media. This position includes hours on a Friday or Sunday night and some holidays. Interactive Editor
The Day, an award-winning independent daily newspaper in southeastern Connecticut (circulation 28,000 daily, 32,000 Sunday) is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and news-savvy Interactive Editor. This key person will be responsible for growing our online audience and fostering interactivity through social media components and new technology. The interactive editor will produce and edit video projects (both live stream and stories), an expanding component of our new media content.
The interactive editor will coordinate social media efforts, including growing our audience on social platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, and developing creative strategies to reach these growing markets. Digital Content Editor
The Record-Journal, an award-winning family-owned newspaper in central Connecticut, is looking for an experienced journalist to serve as Digital Content Editor.
